My favorite granola recipe (and making it top 8 free)

This recipe is so good and versatile depending on your likes and dietary restrictions. Here are some tips for tailoring the granola recipe to your family’s needs and tastes.

Want your granola chunky? Make sure to let it cool for the full 45 minutes, then break it up.

Want your granola vegan? Use only maple syrup and not honey.

Want your granola gluten free? Make sure to use gluten free oats as many oats have cross contamination from other grains via manufacturing.

Want your granola nut free? Use pepitas (AKA pumpkin seeds) instead of nuts. Make sure your dried fruit and pepitas are free from cross contamination. We buy Gerbs pumpkin seeds. You could also omit these ingredients entirely if you have a hard time sourcing these ingredients.

You can also sub other nuts depending on taste or dietary needs (such as if you have to include a particular nut as part of your Oral Immunotherapy “OIT” routine)
