MadeGood Snacks Review

Spread the love

Allergy-friendly snacks are the best! MadeGood makes allergy friendly snacks.

Why it makes sense to know about companies like MadeGood

Typically, only the ingredients directly added to any packaged foods must be listed. However, manufacturing lines and facilities commonly trigger reactions. Yet these are not always labeled.

Many allergy-friendly brands will use facilities free from certain ingredients and label this on the package.

For quick shopping trips or ordering groceries online, this is so helpful, especially if you only have allergies to the top allergens (wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, shellfish, fish, soy, and sesame).

The review

After seeing our blog, a friend of ours reached out and asked if we wanted some MadeGood snacks. We always love snacks, so how could we turn that down? The kids were already familiar with the banana chocolate MadeGood granola bars and strawberry granola bites as those are a couple of our go-to safe snacks. We were excited to try more of their products. Of course if we had that many MadeGood snacks we just had to write a review (although we were not obligated to do so).

Please know that our two young foodies would not let you down. They review snacks with sometimes brutal honesty! I have been on the receiving end of those brutally honest reviews at times. Yikes!

These MadeGood snacks promised to be free of the top nine allergens at the time of this post. Additionally, they are organic, vegan, and contain nutrients from veggies. The more veggies I can sneak into my family’s food the better!

Methodology

With an abundance of curiosity (and gluttony?) we set forth to try out all of the snacks, using a “blind” taste test.

It was a good sensory and bonding experience as we touched, smelled, tasted, and reviewed all of the snacks. So much fun! Try it for yourselves!

We tried nine different MadeGood snacks.

Here are the MadeGood Snacks we sampled.

We put the snacks into cupcake liners so we wouldn’t know which ones we were tasting. It was fun to try to guess the flavor of the snacks we were trying.

9 MadeGood Snacks- Multiple Allergy Family

Which ones did we love most?

1. The Strawberry Granola Minis have a mild and honey-like flavor that my toddler food critic approved of. The toddler was originally not interested in these, and then he kept coming back for more.

Our head taste-tester’s
favorite was snack #5. You
can see him here giving a
“thumbs up.”

2. The Mixed Berry Granola Minis taste mostly like blueberries according to the family. The kids approve of them and eat them while we go on walks.

3. The Chocolate Banana Granola Bars are pretty darn good. I am usually not a fan of banana flavored-foods. They surprised me with how good there were. The adults devoured these. The preschooler went back for seconds.

4. The Sweet and Salty Granola Bars were chocolate-y with a hint of sunflower butter. These were mom’s personal favorite. They tasted like candy without as much sugar. Although I wouldn’t have known that without looking at the nutrition facts! Fabulous! I love when healthier options taste as good if not better than candy. I would personally choose these over a sunbutter cup!

5. The Caramel Crispy Squares were the champion of our taste test! Imagine rice cereal marshmallow squares with a creme brulee taste. They were more loosely held together than the conventional treat, but they were so good. The box lasted 24 hours.

6. The Strawberry Crispy Squares smelled divine. The taste reminded me of strawberry shortcake ice cream bars, like strawberries and “cream.” Our entire family absolutely loved these! A close second overall.

7. The Red Velvet Soft Baked Mini Cookies tasted like a white chocolate chip cookie, not overly sweet. They were pleasant and mild-tasting. Our kids went back for seconds.

8. The No Nut Butter Soft Baked Mini Cookies were like soft chocolate chip cookies with a very mild sunflower butter taste. These were just what we wanted in that kind of cookie.

9. The Snickerdoodles Soft Baked Mini Cookies taste like the real thing, and we were fans of the sweet and pleasant, yet subtle, spice blend. Some allergy-friendly snickerdoodles don’t taste like the original mainstream treat. These tasted like the real thing.

Conclusions

We honestly could not believe our preschooler tried every single one. The toddler loved quite a few of them, too. The biggest hits with our family were the rice cereal squares, the granola bars, the cookies, and the granola bites in that order. And as I mentioned earlier, we already buy some of the granola bars and bites, so we truly enjoyed all the products.

All in all, these products do a great job with safe snacks that offer more than the conventional products since they also contain added veggies. Looks like we will be adding a few more products to our grocery list.
